The Shoals-Area Auburn Club congratulates Muscle Shoals graduate Will Whitlow (far left). Will is the "Mic Man" for the 2007-2008 Auburn Cheerleaders. Will is the son of Dan & Charlotte.

A 9,600 seat multi-purpose arena is scheduled to be built in Auburn, Alabama and will be the home of the Auburn University Tigers basketball teams. Construction is expected to begin in June 2008. The new arena will replace Beard-Eaves-Memorial Coliseum and is tentatively located on the west side of campus, near Wire Road between Thach Ave. and Roosevelt Drive. Plans are for the arena to be complete for the 2010-2011 basketball season at a projected to cost $92.5 million. It will contain two practice courts, a weight room, and twelve suites. There have been discussions of obtaining a corporate sponsorship or of naming it after a prominent Auburn alum.
